Weather Alert, Oct. 8

HURRICANE MILTON UPDATE: TUESDAY, OCT. 8, 12 PM EDT

Blue Streak is monitoring the progress of Hurricane Milton and its potential impact on the state of Florida. While the exact path and impact is impossible to pinpoint at this time, we are diligently monitoring, planning and adjusting. 

We expect service delays in the Florida market to begin this afternoon: Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The following delivery markets will suspend operations after 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8

  • Tampa
  • Lakeland
  • Sarasota/Bradenton
  • Fort Myers/Naples
  • Our statewide line haul network will only operate along the I-95 corridor, along the east coast (and into Orlando, but not further west). No volume will be moved along the west coast.

Operations in the following delivery markets will be suspended on Wednesday, Oct. 9:

  • Tampa
  • Lakeland
  • Sarasota/Bradenton
  • Fort Myers/Naples
  • Orlando
  • Ocala
  • Gainesville
  • Our statewide line haul network will not operate.

Operations in the following delivery markets will be suspended Thursday, Oct. 10:

  • Tampa
  • Lakeland
  • Sarasota/Bradenton
  • Fort Myers/Naples
  • Orlando
  • Ocala
  • Gainesville
  • Deland
  • Daytona
  • St. Augustine
  • Jacksonville
  • Tallahassee
  • Cocoa Beach
  • Vero Beach
  • Port St. Lucie

Depending on the storm’s progress, we’re planning to delay the launch of our statewide line haul network Thursday night, Oct. 10, (but still run) and for normal operations to resume Friday, Oct. 11, as local conditions permit.

We will continue to monitor the storm closely and will use this electronic newsletter and our website to communicate any further service disruptions due to the storm.
